As we’ve all learned through our training as aromatherapists, scent is subjective, and not everyone responds to the same aroma in the same way.  What may bring happy memories for one person may be an acute trigger for another, taking them to a dark and frightening place. This is an important lesson we glean from our education that applies to working with our clients.  This is especially true when our practice may be heavily focused on supporting those who are working through traumatic events.
