There are a few housekeeping items to set up, allowing you to comment on posts. Commenting on posts is optional.

The following are the steps to take for commenting on a post.

  1. Set up your avatar using gravatar. Gravatar allows you to add a picture to your comments and is optional.
  2. You are now set to start posting. You only need to be logged in.
  3. Once you have created your avatar, it's time to try your new commenting skills. Introduce Yourself by going to the post, and letting us know more about you!
  4. Creating an avatar is optional. You can still comment but will not see the picture or avatar that you set up.

How To Set Up Your Avatar with Gravatar

  • Go to the Gravatar website.
  • Click on the big, blue “Create Your Own Gravatar” button.
  • Either create a new WordPress.com account or sign in with the one you have already set up.
  • Add an email address and then upload the photo of your choice.
  • That’s it! Now, when you comment on blog posts you’ll see the photo.
