Spikenard Root Infusion
One way we can utilize this root’s therapeutics without the highly potent scent would be to infuse it into one of our carrier oils.

As we’ve learned from The Plant Behind the Oil, Spikenard’s (Nardostachys jatamansi) aroma is not often embraced as wholly as some of our other essential oils. The scent has been described as pungent, earthy, and reminiscent of valerian (Valeriana officinalis). If you love the scent of valerian, Spikenard will likely not be an issue for you, but generally speaking, it can be a bit too much for most folks.
