Springtime Pain Relief - from resin to salve
Pine resin can be skin-healing and is traditionally used for arthritis, rheumatism, cuts and wounds, and other skin issues.

In November, my Aromahead colleague, Michele Mazur, shared her love of foraging and wrote a beautiful article on collecting Douglas fir resin and making an infused oil. I, too, love foraging and making resin-infused oils.
Six months ago, my husband and I moved to a new community built on an old golf course. In our explorations, we have found flocks of bluebirds, a fox den, many golf balls, and clusters of White Pine and Norway Spruce trees. A few weeks ago, I found some gorgeous pine and spruce resin and thought it would be perfect for a pain salve.
