The Plant Behind the Oil: Thyme Benchmark

As you've all learned from last week's article, Dana shared that this specific essential oil (Thyme Benchmark) is not simply one oil but a combination of four different thyme plant oils. Looking at the GCMS for Thyme Benchmark, an educated aromatherapist could extrapolate which of the four it might be, but for the sake of this article, I will focus on Thymus zygis, as this is the Latin name that has been assigned (by Maggie Tisserand) to the essential oil known as Thyme Benchmark.
