I recall the very first time I smelled a bottle of spikenard essential oil. I was immediately swept back to a friend’s family farm in the middle of haying season. In my mind’s eye, I could see the farm hands stacking bales while we kids ran and played in the afternoon sun. The aroma was comforting and joyful and reminded me of my happy childhood summers.
